Healing from trauma can feel overwhelming — but you don't have to walk the path alone.

Trauma and PTSD Therapy

Are you struggling with painful memories from the past? Do you find yourself feeling stuck? Perhaps you are having nightmares, anxiety, feeling numb, or feeling disconnected from your body and relationships. Sometimes, it might seem as if you are watching your life happen at a distance or even feeling hyperaware of everything around you. These are all normal responses to have when you’ve had overwhelming experiences in your life.

It can feel exhausting to carry invisible wounds that others don’t see. Often, many people try to push past it, but certain memories, sensations, or emotional reactions can keep pulling you back. It can feel incredibly isolating to live with these painful memories - especially when others expect you to “move on” or “stay positive.” Deep down, you might long to feel safe in your body, mind, and relationships. You might long to trust yourself again, regulate your emotions, and move forward without feeling like your past is taking over your present. We are here to help with this.

Trauma can change how you feel about yourself, others, and the world. However, healing and reconnecting are absolutely possible! Trauma informed therapy can help you to create a sense of stability that can assist in processing what happened and reconnecting with yourself. I Integrate a variety of trauma informed therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), mindfulness based strategies, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and trauma-informed talk therapy to help you move at your own pace to create real and lasting healing.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We start by creating a strong foundation of trust and safety. Rather than delving straight into the painful memories - we will first work together to build skills for grounding, emotional regulation, and self-compassion. I use a mind-body approach to help you reconnect with your physical self, along with EMDR to process and resolve traumatic memories that you might feel is “stuck” in your nervous system. Mindfulness-based practices and nervous system regulation exercises are woven into our work to support your whole body healing. Throughout therapy, you are in control - we move at your pace. Instead of just “talking about” the trauma, the goal is to transform your relationship with it to allow you to experience more freedom, resilience, and connection in your life.

Choosing a trauma therapist is deeply personal — and it’s essential to find someone you feel comfortable with. I bring not only professional training but also deep empathy and attunement to our work together. I am trained in EMDR and trauma-informed care practices that recognize how trauma lives in both the mind and body. My approach is integrative and collaborative, respecting your autonomy and pacing every step of the way. I believe that healing from trauma isn’t just about reducing symptoms — it’s about reconnecting with your true self, building a life grounded in meaning, connection, and empowerment. I am committed to honoring your story without judgment, helping you reconnect with your strengths, and holding hope for you even when it's hard to hold it for yourself. You don't have to navigate trauma recovery alone — and you don't have to be defined by what happened to you. Healing is possible, and you deserve to experience it.
